Colors, mood, and setting create the backdrop for a great portrait, but what truly matters is the person in the photograph. I see a photo shoot as a collaboration, where the subject's presence adds the real magic to the image.
Photography, for me, is a gateway and a means of communication. I prefer intimate, small-scale photo shoots, often collaborating with individuals from various fields. Many of my clients are artists, and I particularly enjoy working with actors, given my deep appreciation for the world of TV and cinema.
I have studied in Hamburg, Reykjavík, and Antwerp earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts and portrait photography. I’m grateful to have been nominated for and received several prestigious awards for my work. My professional journey has included over a decade of experience as a photojournalist, press photographer, still photographer on film sets, fashion photographer and photo retouching. I have diverse experience capturing moments through my lens.
My favorite thing about photography is the chance to connect with individuals during a shoot, making them feel comfortable and authentic. This connection, I believe, is key to capturing the best results and true essence of each person.
